All Cris Maria Jewelry pieces are made in Portugal, primarily by hand, in 925 sterling silver, using traditional jewelry techniques.

Pieces can be made in 9, 14 or 18 karat gold, upon request.

The gold-plated silver pieces are plated with 24-karat gold, 1 or 2 microns thick.

The gemstones used can be synthetic or natural.

Cris Maria Jewelry pieces are certified by the Assay Office of INCM – Imprensa Nacional – Casa da Moeda, SA.

The assay office verifies the legal fineness, that is, determines the amount of precious metal (in percentage) contained in an alloy (of silver or gold) and applies the hallmark (a seal guaranteeing conformity with that verification), along with the producer's responsibility mark on the piece.

The application of a hallmark is only mandatory for silver pieces weighing more than 2 grams and for gold pieces weighing more than 0.5 grams.

If the buyer has any doubts about the authenticity of the trademarks, they can use the services of assay offices for verification.
